We had a great time last Saturday bringing this show to life for a full house: there were over 100 people in the crowd! Thanks to the audience for coming out to support new theater, the cast for putting so much energy into the show, musical director Jordan Potash for keeping the show running so smoothly, and the awesome folks at the Armory for helping us out with lights, tech work, drinks, and a fun venue.
We got some useful feedback from audience members after the show that will inform how this show changes in its next incarnation. In addition to thoughtful recommendations for how the certain plot points and character development might be clarified, we also received some high praise for Haber. Here are just a few select quotes from audience responses to an anonymous post-show survey:
“We were singing the lyrics after the show was over!!”
“I think the lyrics are outstanding. They are intelligent and alliterative and do a wonderful job in exposition of the story.”
“Really enjoyed the show! Very impressive and I’d love to see it again sometime!”
The next version of Haber will probably hit stages in the next year or two once the show has been revised and revamped — keep an eye out for updates! Follow this blog to stay abreast of new developments.
